Anderson Camera Repairs

Our founder, the late J.H. Anderson was the son of a Sydney photographer who worked on repairing cameras for 50 years of his life, mostly as head technician for Kodak in Queensland after having relocated to Brisbane before eventually starting this business in 1954.

For 50 years Anderson Camera repairs have proudly provided a professional, independent repair service for Manufacturers, Professional Photographers, Government departments, trade and consumers.

With the continued dedication from the Anderson family the business expanded the camera repair operation into Security camera manufacture in the late 60’s, and commenced photographic retailing in Brisbane in 1970 and also at Mt Gravatt in 1972.

Andersons moved into their own purpose built commercial building in 1984 at Capalaba where they provide warranty service and logistical support for manufacturers agents, repair services for professional photographers, government, trade & consumers throughout Queensland.

In early 2000 a conscious decision was made to concentrate efforts on the core business, Anderson Camera Repairs. The decision to focus on technology through obtaining equipment and training for the repair of digital cameras and scanners was made. Since then, these focus areas have become a major part of our work.

Accordingly, the retail outlet Anderson Camera Centre ceased trading in May 2003. Today the focus of Anderson Camera Repairs is centred on providing exceptional service to the many thousands of customers that we service each year.
