How long does a repair take?

We offer a ‘same day’ sensor cleaning service. The majority of services and repairs are conducted between 3 to 4 working days. If parts are required and these parts are not in stock additional time may be required. We will communicate with you about the progress of your repair via email and sms.

How much do you charge?

The cost of a repair or service will depend on the cost of any parts and time involved in dismantling, repairing, re-assembling and testing your photographic equipment.  Our technicians are available at our photographic service centre between 9am and 2pm Monday to Friday to provide a complimentary verbal estimate (without dismantling your equipment). We can also conduct a more precise estimate for $75 for DSLR and Compact Digital cameras and $185 for Medium Format and Specialty items where we dismantle your equipment. This fee is deducted from the repair fee if you proceed with the repair.

Will a technician be available to assess my camera?

Our technicians are available at our photographic service centre between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday to assess your photographic equipment and provide a complimentary verbal estimate (without dismantling your equipment). We can also conduct a  precise estimate for $75 for DSLR and Compact Digital cameras and $185 for Medium Format and Specialty items where we dismantle your equipment. What photographic equipment and brands do you repair?

Anderson Camera Repairs have the technical expertise to repair a large range of cameras (digital, 35mm and large format), lenses (AF and non AF) and flashes.  We offer services such as sensor cleaning, modifications, filter removals, focus testing, optic cleaning, shutter replacement, light seal replacement, repairs and maintenance to cameras.

Andersons are the Queensland warranty agent for Nikon and Nikon Professional Services (NPS). We can repair Nikon both in and out of warranty and Casio under warranty.  We also repair Canon, Casio, Olympus, Fuji, Tamron, Panasonic, Pentax, Polaroid, Mamiya, Hasselblad, Linhof, Graflex, large and medium format lenses and bodies, and many other brands.

What hours do you open?

Our reception is open between 9am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday (except public holidays). Verbal estimates are offered between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday.

Anderson Camera Repairs is located at 14 Merritt Street, Capalaba Qld 4157. The centre is a convenient 25 minute drive from Brisbane City with plenty of free car parking available.  See a map below.  

Which payment methods do you accept?

Credit Cards

Credit Cards: We accept MasterCard, Visa, Bankcard & American Express only. Dispatch takes place when verification is received.

Direct Deposit

Direct deposit: Complete remittances advice and sent to us once you have made payment. Note: dispatch takes place once bank confirmation of payment is received.

Cheques

Cheques: We accept cheques and goods are dispatched once the cheque has cleared, which normally takes approximately 5 working days. Please provide remittance advice with your cheque.
